Question:
I’ve added songs to my Mix Stick 2.0 and when I press play I get no audio. How can I fix this?
Answer:
The memory in your Disney Mix Stick 2.0 may have become corrupt and needs to be reset. Please follow the instructions below to format your player.
NOTE : Formatting the memory will erase all files on the player.
Formatting the Disney Mix Stick 2.0:
- Connect the Disney Mix Stick 2.0 to your computer and close Windows Media Player.
- Double-click on your 'My Computer' or 'Computer' icon.
- Right-click the newly added 'Removable Disk' and left-click on 'Format'.
- At the Format window, select 'FAT32' from the file system pull-down menu, then click 'Start' to format the unit.
- Click 'OK' to confirm and the player will start to format.
- When finished, click 'Close' to close the Format window.
- Unplug the Mix Stick 2.0 from your computer and wait for the light on the Mix Stick 2.0 to turn green.
- Once the Mix Stick 2.0 light has turned green plug the player back into your computer.
- Open Windows Media Player and click on the 'Sync' tab, if a 'Set Up' window pops up, click finish or name the device.
- Next select your .mp3 or .wma songs to sync to the Mix Stick 2.0 (you will not be able to use Itunes songs because they are encoded with Digital Rights and cannot be copied to other devices) and click on 'Start Sync'.
- When the files are finished loading into the player, close Windows Media Player and follow the 'Safely Remove Hardware' procedure as shown below.
Safely Removing Your Player from the Computer
NOTE : To avoid damage to your player or data loss, always follow the procedure listed below before disconnecting your player from the USB port on your computer.
Using your mouse, double-click the 'Safely Remove Hardware' icon on the task bar.
From the 'Safely Remove Hardware' window, select 'USB Mass Storage Device' and click the 'Stop' button. The 'Stop a Hardware Device' window will pop-up.
Click 'OK'. When the 'Safe to Remove Hardware' window is displayed and the Mix Stick 2.0 light is ORANGE, you may remove the player from the USB cable.
Wait for the light to turn green on the Mix Stick 2.0 and press the play button once and your music should start to play.
